Our shul is solely funded by our community and its members. Membership at CSTL is about more than paying annual dues, it’s about building and sustaining a unique community. The CSTL building is the place where we pray, study, celebrate during good times, and support each other during difficult times. Membership payments allow us to collectively take care of our spiritual home and are used to help pay down the building loan and support ongoing maintenance. Membership fees are also used to support our daily operating expenses. Thank you for your partnership and making our community stronger.

FAQ about Membership
When does the membership year run?
The membership year runs from January - December of each year.
Are memberships tax deductible?
Membership dues paid to CSTL are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law, in the year in which they are paid.
Are payment plans available? What if I can not afford the full cost of membership?
We value all contributions and we never turn someone away for lack of funds or inability to pay the full membership rate. All communications about reduced payments will be kept confidential. Please do not hesitate to communicate any financial concerns. Our community strives to be as inclusive as possible and accordingly will never turn away potential members for financial reasons.
What are the membership benefits?
As a member of CSTL, you are entitled to voting rights for board, preferred social hall rental rates and preferred men’s Mikvah rates.
