What to Expect
A Warm, Welcoming Kehillah
CSTL is a warm and welcoming shul where people from many different backgrounds feel at home. Our kehillah includes a broad range of community members, from long-time observant families to people exploring Jewish life more deeply, and visitors joining us for the first time.
We daven in Nusach Ari, and we strive to create an atmosphere that is genuine, friendly, and inclusive. Whether you are coming for a weekday minyan, a Shabbos visit, or simply to connect, we want you to feel comfortable and part of the community.

Daily Minyan
A steady daily minyan is a central part of life at CSTL, serving both local members and visitors.
Eruv
CSTL is located within the North Seattle eruv. Guests staying for Shabbos should review the eruv map when choosing accommodations.
Men's Mikvah
A men's mikvah is available as part of the community infrastructure that supports Shabbos and daily Jewish life.
Women's Mikvah
A women's mikvah is also available within the community. If needed, additional details can be provided before your visit.

Each Shabbos at CSTL, the community enjoys a kiddush with cholent after davening. Depending on sponsorship, the kiddush may be more expanded from week to week.

Where to Stay
Silver Cloud Hotel
The Silver Cloud Hotel is inside the eruv and is approximately a 35-minute walk from CSTL, making it a practical option for many Shabbos visitors.
Airbnb and VRBO
There are also often Airbnb and VRBO rental options within the eruv for guests looking for something more private or home-like. We strongly recommend confirming location carefully against the eruv map before booking.

Best Nearby Option: QFC University Village
For most visitors, the most practical kosher shopping option near CSTL is QFC at University Village, about a 7-minute drive from the shul.
It includes a dedicated kosher refrigerator section with meat, cheese, milk, and yogurt, along with kosher freezer, shelf-stable, and wine sections. On many days, the kosher department also offers fresh sushi and roasted chicken.
Located in the same store is Einstein Bros. Bagels, which offers pareve Pas Yisroel bagels as well as cholov stam baked goods.
